2010 World Cup - South Africa / Re: 2010 Rumor
« on: October 17, 2006, 10:46:47 AM »
Source: http://sportsbybrooks.com/pele-pontificates-on-south-africas-pathetic-2010-world-cup-prep-11248.php

WAS MARADONA UNAVAILABLE? The TORONTO GLOBE & MAIL has the hilarious news that major event logistical expert Pele was in South Africa last month "trying to determine if the [2010 World Cup] will go ahead as scheduled, or will have to be moved."

Pele: "(Nelson Mandela) is very sick ... If Mandela dies, it would be difficult to control there.

"(South Africa) is supposed to have already started the construction on the new stadiums. Until now, they didn’t start. Bill Gates, Bono, FIFA, we have a meeting to see how to help. They can help a lot to prepare the infrastructure. ... They are going to be okay. But they are already behind."

There's no way the World Cup will be moved, despite what you might hear about the Cup coming to the U.S. in 2010.

There are plenty of African-Americans and others who will make it happen - with money and resources - if the South Africans drop the ball (which they probably will).

General Discussion / Re: Convert Trinidad Education to a US Education
« on: September 25, 2006, 01:34:42 PM »
Thank you very much guys.

Mark
No problem... like I said, I had used Spantran in Texas and the process was fairly painless; just submit your docs and they do the assessment and send it to you. There are other companies as well...
Thanks, Tallest for correcting the website; it's been a while since I had to use it.

With my Trinidad Junior sec and Senior comprehensive Education, any chance of them turning that into a bachelors?? will I be even close to a bachelors or will I still have a long way to go??

Tks,
Mark

General Discussion / Convert Trinidad Education to a US Education
« on: September 25, 2006, 10:48:13 AM »
Hello All,

I know this is way off topic for this site but I was hoping maybe someone can assist me, I am looking for info on how to go about Converting a Trinidad Education to a US Education, so that it is recognized in the US??

Does anyone know the answer to this, has anyone here ever done it??

I live in NY and I am looking for a school at the moment to continue my education, I will be seeking a Bachelors In Business Management and then on to a Masters, so I am not sure if the Trinidad Education can help with any shortcuts of even credits ect....

I attended Mt. Hope Junior Sec and then El-Dorado Senior, don't know if that helps.

Any help will be appreciated.

Tks,
Marky

Ohhhh My God BIG UPSET here ......nice.

Anyonw know the that Czech player got the red card for??

The dotish american commentators were saying it was for dissent.  But i think it was because he was the last man and tripped the attacker.  Thats why the referee went over to the linesman, to make sure the Chech player was the last defender.

Ahhh that make sense ...thanks mann

Football / Re: Bring Stern on as a sub
« on: June 11, 2006, 09:14:29 PM »
So here is my take on this, Stern real good at taking down the long ball up front and shielding it until he get support, however I really do wish we had someone else that could have done that.

I went to school in El-Dorado with Stern and that man does always play better coming off the bench, they use to call him the super sub, but I don't think we have that kind of time to experiment now.

So there is a thin line here, I say leave it to Don-Leo he bring we here let him do he thing and carry we, I am sure he has a game plan for England.

I wish they do well because I live in the US and it will be nice if they do well because that will only make soccer more popular in the US.

But to be honest I don't thing they stand a chance to get out of there group to go to the second round.
