It was best...........I agreed with Eve on playing solid defensive system......the problem is it was never solid and there was never a clear idea for winning and using the ball once won, Eve's trending towards cowardly self interest didn't help either

He start a dwight yorke academy as yet in Tobago? What does he do for football in Tobago? All this complaining about getting a foreign job and he have enough opportunities to create jobs in the land of his birth? Why not start an academy and get some other local coaches certified and involved?

Look Fenwick doing it right now.

That would probably require selflessness on some level........

Asylum* all I sayin is Dwight is primarily responsible for the stereotypical view of him, I said "I can believe dat" because "in my view" it sounds very "Dwight" rightly or wrongly, bias notwithstanding......

just sayin

......and I would still be up on my feet clapping him if he gets dat big job he wants, he just not where he needs to be to get it now

.................I intentionally neglected seeker because Dwight is an entitled prick dat refuses to come of his high horse and do it the way every former player have to earn their flowers as a coach........it easy to believe entitlement "old talk" because it have plenty evidence, if any of it false is Dwight own fault dat people have dat view of him.....nobody else

the messenger doesn't matter when there is a pattern of behavior upon which opinions can be formed....... stereotypes are born of momentary truths just as much as broad lies

I feel he burn some bridges at some point and with him also seeming to be limiting himself to opportunities dat some may view him as unsuitable for.....I  feel SAF would veto any appointment at MU anyways  is jus a vibe I get, from where their relationship kinda went in d late half

Georgia jus put on ah exhibition ah transitional and counter-attacking football, If only Eve knew how to coach a team to win a ball let alone get it quickly up d pitch, we have enough in d playing staff to at least do dat, we jus doh have coach to train it

Trini _2026 our "golden" generation grew up eating and sleeping football and still only manage 1 world cup in d sunset of their careers........d streets savannas  and alleyways not going and produce no more Yorke/s and Latapy/s because tiktok, PS5 and X-box grab up all dat raw material, alyuh still living on Nostalgia........man still talking nonsense about attractive football when fast, physical, mechanical football beating we ass coming and going since after 1989..........Eve is a pussy is why d way we playing not really working out, you can tell this team plays with fear and inferiority in dey heart when is not Bahamas and dem so.........man doh want to hear it but we not Barca or Brazil or Argentina, we was jus lucky enough to have a generation dat grow up on dat kinda football........dat gone never to return, it was never standards, it was man taking it upon dey self to emulate ah standard, ah hero, ah country in SA............and it became a delusion dat man still livin today,

It not real........it never was

Dennis Lawrence has the best resume at present. Black ppl have trouble getting any job in every arena, and are held to high standards and accountability than their counterparts, even in their own countries, far less foreign. Get used to it. It’s what makes us stronger, better, faster and smarter.  Totally agree Lefty.  I dig how he walk out the MacArthur gig, oh you not happy. This gentleman life decisions/actions by many indications seem to be the Achilles heel of his football career. He needed a proper advisor at a very young age.  Then again, who am I to knock his successes. He did quite well still. But oh gorm…

yeah maxg, DL really getting he self more together, DY need to come down a notch or 10 and maybe reset ado d right things to boost he career

gawd, even after all these years Dwight still have name recognition, but his constant pining for the MU job  and stuff like what happen with MacArthur only tarnishing dat name, his best asset.......Dwight wanting the MU wuk is becoming a meme at this point and given his aforementioned weak CV...............well

Football / Re: Dwight Yorke Official Thread

Gawd* I understand all dat, try being black and slightly disabled with no playing career to carry yuh name, my genuine issue with Yorke is dat he in d earlies at least seemed not to keen on paying his dues in lower leagues, his profile atleast online  reads as woefully unqualified.....Eve CV would hold more water than Dwight

Add: Xavi Alonso make history after only previously Coaching 'B' and youth level teams ........DY coulda be further along if he hung his hat a little lower to start.....then carry on from there

Deeks, patriotism aside, you tink DY have enough juice to coach alongside Pep and dem fellas....based on on what body of work ???...........Kompany who lift Burnley out ah d championship couldn't make a note....and he had what could now be d greatest manager of all time in eye shot for years......Dwight needs to be working consistently and build a rep if he really want dat work one day

I don't think Eve is the one, but I don't get our obsession with conflating Trinidad with attacking football.......we have never gone beyond the region perpetuating that fallacy in terms of success........what Eve never showed was a concrete plan to get the ball off the other team......and it was often left to luck.........and after that never seem to have a concrete idea of what to do with the ball when luck granted it to us a lot of the time.........what I have see through recent years, is us look competent and even at times devastating in transition, I don't like passive low block defending.........but I don't think outright attacking football suits us either.......transitional football with a proper plan yo win the ball on the other hand with more of a mid block might be a decent compromise......but yeah dais jus me

been saying for over ten years now on this site that modernizing coaching techniques and practices readily available to anybody who can watch read and understand, yet Trinidad football remains this monolith of d same exploitable deficiencies for decades now that any and all teams have learned to and will always exploit. is always d same shit.......no unit play(team defense\attack), no pressing only cowardly backing off, no link up, no defenders that actually good on d ball, hundreds ah yards ah space between we lines ........no conditioning because we doh do dat and because we play slow ass football in we leagues when tempo raise we wilt.............

I jus lost d enthusiasm for TT football because d script is always d same........we not even consistent in CFU no more because we coaching like 1986 in f**king 2024.......I jus fed uo
