Wow!!!

Someone was asking whether T&T could field a decent 4x4?
Well now you have Lalonde, Quow, Hewitt (all mid-45s), Solomon, Alleyne-Forte, Gordon, Cedenio, etc
Senior champs should be interesting in both the 100m and 400m

That was me. We still need at least one more running mid 45s. I believe Gordon came close to going under 45 in the 4x400 last year at Carifta.

If Cedenio runs with the seniors this year, he will lower his 46.96 pb. As it stands he can probably make the team as a possible reserve.  I wouldn't be surprised if he is selected to the team for the Olympics.

On another note, anyone know what happened to AP today? He ran 36.s in the 100m. Looks like he might have pulled up. Not good considering the JA championships are in a few weeks.

Men's 100m
Rng Nom Nat Perf RT

Vent :  -0.3m/s

1 Daniel BAILEY ANT      10.05 0.14
2 Justin GATLIN USA      10.08 0.13

7 Martial MBANDJOCK FRA      10.41 0.14
8 Mark LEWIS FRANCIS GBR      10.53 0.11

I see Keston being able to squeeze into that final providing he doesn't get 4 Jamaicans in his semi and he has to run a great race  but he can do it. It's a close affair between himself, gatlin, bailey, dix and i think lemaitre is slightly ahead of them.

Both Thompson and Sorillo have run 20.1 in the last few years and went 2nd and 1st respectively at NCAA in that event so there has been some advancement

Like I riled you up instead ? Follow my argument ..this is 2011 ...we are here and now ...our athletes are running these times now .. not yesterday ...today ...
here we have our best athletes running slower..today ...than a 17 year old ran in 2002 ..and that is what I was throwing out in jest to Trinity who is still an unbeliever. dais all

Nobody got riled up about anything. I just said your statement about times having not advanced that much since Brown's race in 2002 is not a factual statement. One race on a given day can never be a reflection of a nation's overall performance over time.
By your logic, Bledman's 10.09 Tuesday means our times haven't advanced much for our locals since Brown's 10.09 as a 17 year old in 2002 either?!

Since you want to go there ...which result has been more consistent since one race results are to be discounted ? Is the 20.1 by sorillo the average of his times by  our runners or a one off ? Check his recent results ... check other runners results over the years ... would you not say that the 20.1 was the one off ?

Blenman has been putting down consistent low 10's and sub 10's. Thompson has had sub 10's ..even sorillo has had low 10's these are not one off's  so i was not referring to the 100,  but in the deuce ...we not improving .

Asafa controlled the race beginning to end. Just doing enough to win. This might be Richard's best finish of the season and intrinsically speaking, his fastest race. Bledman just had a technically sloppy race coupled with nerves of the false start.
