Molino in Pan Am games squad

Senior team midfielder Kevin Molino will join a Trinidad and Tobago squad comprising of Olympic team players who will travel to Guadalajara, Mexico on Saturday to participate at the 2011 Pan American Games.
T&T received an invitation from the organizers as a replacement for Guatemala which was withdrawn by the country's Olympic committee for non-compliance with protocol.
Panama and Honduras, who finished behind Guatemala and ahead of T&T in the final rankings of the CONCACAF Under-20 Championship in April, declined invitations to fill the vacancy in the eight-team competition, set for October 19-28.
T&T are in Group A along with Ecuador, Mexico and Uruguay and will face Uruguay in their opening game on October 19 at the Estadio Omnilife They then face Mexico on October 21 and Ecuador two days later. Group B includes Brazil, Argentina, Cuba and Costa Rica.
The tournament will serve as ideal preparations for the team which is also preparing for the CFU 2012 Olympic qualifying final round in St Kitts/Nevis next month.
The team also includes Joevin Jones, Shahdon Winchester, Micah Lewis Cameron Roget, Andre Marchan, Sheldon Bateau and Jamal Gay who all have previous national team experience. Seventeen players have been named with a final player to be included.Angus Eve is the head coach with Derek King as assistant coach and Norris Ferguson is the team manager.
The 2011 Pan American Games, officially the XVI Pan American Games or the 16th Pan American Games, will be a major international multi-sport event that will be held from October 14–30, 2011 in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, with some events held in nearby cities of Ciudad Guzmán, Puerto Vallarta, Lagos de Moreno and Tapalpa. It will be the largest multi-sport event of the year,[2] with approximately 6,000 athletes from 42 nations expected to participate in 36 sports.
