T&TEC cut their deficit behind Oasis Youth Pro League Under-17 leaders St Ann’s Rangers to two points, leapfrogging inactive North East Stars for second spot in the process when they turned back Police 4-2 on Sunday at St Joseph Convent’s Ground in Federation Park, St Clair.

The young “Electricity Boys” took full advantage of Rangers’ 0-0 draw against fifth-placed Defence Force, as well as Stars’ failure to play Caledonia AIA in their scheduled fixture.

Neither Central FC (fourth) nor W Connection (seventh) could move up the table after the teams played to a 0-0 draw as well.

At the Under-15 level, Rangers stayed firmly in the lead with a six-point gap over second-placed W Connection when they whipped Defence Force 4-2.

The Army had a chance to pull within three points, but despite taking a third-minute lead against the table toppers through Stephon Ealie, conceded, the “Army Boys” conceded goals from Travel Edwards, Raheam Borde and Mathaeus Granger by the 61st minute.

Romario Villfana pulled one back for the Army, before Nicholas Blake put the result beyond doubt for Rangers.

Connection were also winners with a narrow 3-2 victory over Central FC.

Among the Under-13s Army had a better time, pulling into first place with a 13-0 dismantling of Rangers, while T&TEC stopped Police 2-0 and W Connection hammered Central  FC  9-1.

As in the other two Divisions, Caledonia AIA and North East Stars did not face, off, this time because of a waterlogged pitch.

Defence Force blasts Rangers for 13
T&T Guardian Reports.

Two players scored hat-tricks and another two recorded braces when Defence Force secured its seventh win in eight matches in emphatic style, with a 13-0 drubbing of St Ann’s Rangers in the Under-13 division of the Oasis Youth Pro League, on Sunday.

After Kerdell Sween opened for the “Teteron Boys” with a second minute item, a rout ensued, which saw Tyrese Bailey and Brandon Gamper score three goals each, while Jodel Brown and A’Danjah Fullan took the double each. All goals were recorded within the hour, with Kyle Thomas closing the scoring in the 58th minute. The only other item came from an Rangers own goal.

The result saw Rangers remain second from bottom, while Defence Force would overtake North East Stars (seven wins in seven matches) on goal-difference, as the latter was not in action due to the persistent rainy conditions. North East Stars was scheduled to take on Caledonia, but none of the three matches kicked off.

The U-15 fixtures followed with league leader Rangers exacting revenge by way of a 4-2 win. In the U-17 division, the two teams would end the day’s proceedings with a goalless draw. Rangers remains atop the table by two points ahead of second placed T&TEC.
