THE streets of Point Fortin will become a sea of red when the band Royalty hits the streets with their presentation of “On D Road to Germany” on May 6.


The band’s presentation will show support for the National Football team and masqueraders will be dressed in three sections of red, white and black.

Royalty is the defending Borough Day Jouvert champion. The band also won the Carnival Band of the year title for 2005, 2006 in Point Fortin.

Female masqueraders have a choice of, either bra tops, tank tops or T-shirts combined with shorts or cycle shorts and men will have the option to go bare chested or a T-shirt, pants or cycle shorts. There’s also the option for masqueraders to make a bold statement by painting their faces and or bodies in the national colors. The price ranges are from $200-$280 and includes free drinks, breakfast, TT bandanas and other give-aways. Anyone interested in playing with the band can check out Royalty’s mas camp at 9th Street, Techier Village, Point Fortin, and also at Point Fortin Fitness centre, Rawley’s fashion in Point Fortin and Brands Galore in Gulf City shopping complex.
