The Lindenwood men's soccer team dropped its second game of the season 2-1 to the University of Missouri S&T on Sunday afternoon in Quincy, Ill.

The Miners jumped out to an early lead in the 24th minute after a goal from Spencer Brinkmeyer. The goal was the only tally of the first half. Just 12 minutes into the final half Brinkmeyer scored his second goal of the game giving the Miners a 2-1 lead.

Franz Husbands cut into the lead for the Lions scoring his first goal of the season in the 72nd minute. That was as close as the Lions got, falling to the Miners 2-1.

With the loss the Lions drop to 0-2 in the early season. Up next for Lindenwood is a game against the University of Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Texas on September 9th.
