Jonathan Cruichshank netted a pair of goals to lead St Ann’s Rangers to a hard fought 4-3 win over FC South End in the Oasis Youth Pro League on Tuesday.

Cruichshank got his goals in the 39th and 67th minutes while Lemuel Scott (70th) and Jamil Young (72nd) to cancel out items for South End by Quesnelle Nelson (22nd), Akeem Humphrey (64th) and Justin La Rode (75th).

With the win, Rangers improved to 32 points from 17 matches, seven adrift of leaders W connection with three matches left for each club.

Second placed, Joe Public has 35 points from a match left while San Juan Jabloteh, the other team in title contention is fourth with 33 points after a loss by default against Defence Force.

NEIL MITCHELL scored four goals as Joe Public crushed North East Stars 11-2, on July 25, in a Round Two Match Day Ten encounter of the Oasis Youth Pro League.

Mithcell found the back of the net in the eighth, 11th, 15th and 20th minutes, before Kyle Bartholomew notched a hat-trick, in the 26th, 32nd and 38th.

Anslem Jackson got in the act, scoring in the 44th and 49th, while Julio Noel (55th) and Brendon Simpson (64th) gave Joe Public a 11-goal cushion. But North East got two consolation strikes, from Akeil Alfred (85th) and Moriba Vance (87th).

Defence Force thrashed St Ann’s Rangers 6-2, courtesy of two goals apiece from Damion Bright (26th and 40th) and Kerdeem Sobion (44th and 56th), wile Akil Morris (64th) and an own goal from Cleveland Cambridge (85th) completed the scoring for Defence Force. Josiah Alleyne (28th) and Stefon Ragoo (55th) were the goal-getters for Rangers.

W Connection kept their advantage atop the group standings despite a 1- 1 draw against Tobago United. Donnelly Gopicharan converted a 61st minute penalty to put Connection in front but Javan Francis tied the scores two minutes later.

In a mid-table clash, San Juan Jabloteh whipped Caledonia AIA 3-0 with strikes from Randall Scott (16th), Odue Hazel (38th) and Kevin Lewis (56th).

Police and South End battled to a 1-1 draw, with Shaquille Callender equalising for Police in the 49th, after Adi Constant gave South End a ninth minute lead.
