T&T Under-17 footballers will have one more chance to impress coach Anton Corneal when they tackle T&T Pro League outfit Ma Pau at the Marvin Lee Stadium, Macoya from 3 pm today. Corneal is using the match as part of his preparations for the Concacaf Under–17 Championship in Mexico later this month and is expected to name his final squad tomorrow, prior to ending the four-day live-in camp which began on Thursday at the Dr Joao Havelange Centre of Excellence, Macoya.

The 27-member squad captained by Queen’s Royal College and Clico San Juan Jabloteh youth team striker Jerrel Britto will compete in Tijuana, Mexico from April 21 to May 2. They will be vying for one of four spots to the Fifa Under–17 World Championship in Nigeria from October 24 to November 15.

T&T will tackle host Mexico on April 22 followed by Costa Rica on April 24 and Guatemala two days later in Group B. The USA, Cuba, Honduras and Canada are in Group A with the four semifinalist all qualifying for Nigeria. The top two teams in each group advance to the semifinals on April 29 with the final and third place matches are set for May 2.
