The Trinidad and Tobago Under-17s lost their first match in Colombia after winning three in a row  at the Tournament of the Americas. They fell 5-3 to Nuevo Tolima.

T&T controlled the first half of the game and went into half-time leading 3-1 through goals from captain Duane Muckette (8th), Shackiel Henry (28th) and Dwight Quintero (39th).

Tolima scored in the 13th minute. However, with Tolima needing a victory to advance to the second round, they came out in the second half throwing caution to the wind. They scored in the 52nd, 57th, 64th, and 78th minutes.

The T&T U-17s are preparing for the final CONCACAF qualifying round in Jamaica next year towards the 2011 FIFA Under-17 World Cup in Mexico.
