GEMS, the defending champions, put themselves on course for a place in the final of the Churches Football League Knockout competition with a 3-0 win over St James last week in a semi-final first leg clash.
Dacian John scored twice for GEMS while Yusuff Perry netted the other item.
And Daybreak edged Curepe Amen 1-0 in the other first leg semi- final contest. The second leg semi-final matches were due to take place on Saturday while the final will take place at the Larry Gomes Stadium, Arima on December 10.
