Club Sando claimed its third straight win in as many matches, increasing its lead at the top of Group A standings of the National Youth League Under-18 Football tournament. In the last match, Sando edged out Pt Fortin Civic Centre 1-0 on Saturday.

The league leader got its winning item from Karlon Alexander six minutes from regulation time. Sando now has nine points from three matches, some six points ahead of M & M Harvard, Pt Fortin and bmobile Joe Public.

In Group B action Mayaro Spurs claimed its first win after two matches to take the lead with a 1-0 win over Queen’s Park Cricket Club. Kerdell Alfred was the player responsible for the win netting in the 39th minute.

In Under-16 action, Sando defeated Pt Fortin 3-0 for its third straight win, moving six points clear at the top with nine. Juliano Lewis opened the scoring for his side as early as the second minute, 1-0.

Kirby Brewster then doubled the advantage in the 23rd before Wasiym Stewart sealed the issue in the 74th minute.
