Eagles were flying too high for Caution Cap Off Youths as they mauled their opponents 9-0 in the first match of a Central Football Association (CFA) Premier League double header at the Couva Recreation ground on Monday.

Adrian Emmanuel lad the way with a hat-trick, while Glenwell John hit a double. The league leaders got their opening goal from skipper Bernard Mc Call in the 15th minute, before the floodgates opened, as John netted his double in the 17th and 28th to make it 3-0.

Emmanuel got into the action netting his first two minutes later, before Ian James made it 5-0 with a strike in the 34th. Emmanuel struck again in the 38th, which was followed by a goal from Michael James in the 41st. Emmanuel then scored his third, converting a penalty in the 44th to give his team a 8-0 advantage at the half.

Cap Off had a better second, despite not finding the net, as they only allowed one more goal which came off the boot of Jah Jah Gill in the 55th minute. In the other match, Leeds United led by a second half hat-trick from Trent Lougheed, got the better of Balmain Flamingo 5-2.

Lougheed netted in the 53rd, 67th and 83rd, after Andre Mohammed and Kelvin Ramnath scored in the 9th and 39th minutes. Flamingo reduced the deficit from a penalty and a own goal.
