Shervon Charles, Darren Lewis and Keston Thomas netted first half items each to secure a comfortable 3-0 win for WASA FC win over Tobago’s Stokely Vale at WASA Ground, St Joseph yesterday.

The result made it two wins in as many matches for WASA FC after the “Water Boys” bagged the All Sport Shield behind a 2-1 win against West Side Super Starzs last Monday. Within the fourth minute of play, Fabien Garcia took an opportunistic shot which was parried by the Stokely Vale goalkeeper, a save which fell to the feet of Charles, who opened the scoring with a tap in.

Thomas added a second for WASA after receiving a cross field ball which he controlled and neatly finished under a Stokely defender. The match was wrapped up by the last minute of the first half when a cross from Charles found Lewis, who managed to finish last post at a tight angle.

In other results, Club Sando Giants also made it two wins in two matches following a 2-1 win over promoted West Side Super Starsz FC at the Mannie Ramjohn Stadium. The match opened with an unfortunate Club Sando own goal in the sixth minute. Christon Freitas then responded with a goal just before the half time whistle.

Andy  London wrapped up the points for the San Fernando team after scoring just minutes after the start of the second half. Real Maracas was the only other winning team on the day beating 1976 Phoenix 3-0. Eagles United and Deferce Force played to a 0-0 stalemate while traveling St. Francois Nationals held bmobile Joe Public to a 2-2 last grasp draw.
