Defending champion, Bon Accord Government was held to a 1-1 draw by Signal Hill Government as action kicked off in the Milo Tobago Primary School Football League on Monday.

Signal Hill took the lead through a Taffarel Joseph freekick before Adrian Toppin got the equaliser. Last year’s runner-up, Bethesda Government, made a majestic start to its campaign ripping 13 unanswered goals past St Patrick Anglican.

Kwame McDougal fired to a shared lead in the Golden Boot race with six goals while his teammate, Kwame Cadore also had four goals.

Montgomery Government, Roxborough Anglican and Speyside Anglican also registered convincing victories. Shaquille Gardiner’s hattrick fired Montgomery to a 7-0 win over Buccoo Government while five goals from Kellis Coker and a Kennoy Gray hattrick led Roxborough AC to a 9-0 victory over Ebenezer Methodist.

Darrel Stevens six goals for Speyside AC gave him a share for the Golden Boot lead as he powered his school to a 9-1 win over Delaford RC.
