KERRON PHILLIPS netted a double as leaders Georgia United overwhelmed their next-door neighbours Classic Tours Goodwood 3-0 at the Dwight Yorke Stadium (DYS) last Friday in a Premier Division game of the Digicel Tobago Football Association (TFA).

Georgia maintained a three-point lead over defending champions Stokely Vale, who drubbed newcomers Dominion Golden Lane 4-0 at home on Sunday in another TFA Premier Division game.

Playing before their home fans in Plymouth, the champs got a brace from Dominic McDougall and one each from Chad Sandy and Antonio Balfour to register their eighth win of the 2008 campaign.

They now have 26 points from 12 games from a pair of draws and losses.

The leaders Georgia, who are having their best season for almost ten years have pushed their points tally to 29 from 13 games, including nine victories.

Back-to-back FA Cup winners and third-place Roxborough Lakers (22 points) suffered a shock 3-0 defeat at the hands of eighth-place Mega Brite Bethel United in the second game of the double-header at the Dwight Yorke Stadium on Sunday night.

Nigel Pierre, Curtis Winchester and Renaldo John produced the goals for Bethel United (17 points), who were winning for the fifth time from a dozen outings.

In the first match, Pepsi Hills United (18) remained sixth, following a comfortable 4-2 victory over Sidey's FC.

Eustace Stewart and Handel Joefield grabbed braces for Hills United, who remain outside the top five.

Christopher Crosby and Pavel Warrick were the providers for seventh-placed Sidey's, who trail Hills on goal difference.

Castara Retreats Goal City leapfrogged two places into fifth on the back of a resounding 3-0 whipping of lowly Earlbrokes at the DYS last Friday.

Doing the business for the winners, who now have 18 points-the same as Hills and Sidey's but with a better goal difference-were Akini Ferguson, Kenyon Manswell and Jesse Henry.
