Kierron Mason will return to Charleston for the 2021 season.
The 6’1” Trinidadian midfielder will look to increase minutes on the pitch in his third season for the Battery after two consecutive seasons cut short due to injury.
Mason had 3 appearances in 2020 including a start against Atlanta United 2 on August 5. He put up 63 minutes in the 1-1 draw while helping the Battery stay in the game that ended with an equalizing goal at the death by Mauro Cichero. Avoiding defeat, the draw would be the start of Charleston’s nine-game unbeaten streak lasting nearly two months through the season.
Looking ahead to a healthy 2021 season, Mason will continue to grow as an essential piece of the Battery midfield transition.
