Can anyone tell me when this Normalization Committee term is up?
Apparently they can't walk and chew gum at the same time. Now that they are concentrating on the ladies senior team for a tournament in November, our men will not be playing a SINGLE game during this international break. Our U14's couldn't get a run out in the CFU tournament. Vax or no vax, no information or timeline to resume local football  This is just shameful.

I don't know. But I do know is time for dem to go.

Not sure if this is true, but when they leave, they hand over the governance to someone only they can choose. In other words when they find that person, they leave that person to run the show. This can be the road of return for Mr you know who. . DJW.

Hoping this is not true........ and the wheels of the bus go round and round, round and round, round and round.....

TRINIDAD and Tobago basketballer Johnny Hamilton has been signed by NBA team Atlanta Hawks.

Reports said that Hamilton, 27, has agreed to a one-year deal with the Hawks.

Hamilton, who is seven feet tall, last played for EuroLeague club Fenerbahce and Adriatic Basketball Association club KK Mornar Bar during the 2020-2021 season.

Hamilton played for the Detroit Pistons G League team, Grand Rapids Drive, in the 2018-2019 season.

He has been signed to an Exhibit 10 contract which is a one-year, minimum salary deal that does not include the possibility of bonuses.

The way Hyland pull up and had ice on his hamstring, I don't expect to see him out there.
I hope LG and Bateau are being called up. How can we not call them?

I wouldn't risk Hyland with the Mexico game. I'll try for the other two group games.

1. we need a left back bad bad bad, they depended too heavily on Joevin Jones being there from what I heard. Those they use in the prelims not good enough. Mexico would have notice that also.
2. we need an identical replacement for Hyland if he cannot play. His influence in the middle for the team is undeniable
3. I'm very concern about the teams match fitness. I dunno what our trainers doing but dem men ain't fit. French Guiana who has not played an international game since 2019 players were fitter than ours.

After seeing that cut, not only was it a penalty but the player should have been sent off because the ref did go to VAR. A Guyana player was sent off for much less.  Respect to Aubrey David for continuing to play.

Lets be honest Montserrat is a shit team. This win does not mean anything. We will not know the direction our football is going until we play a much better team. Wait til we play a Central American team or a much better Caribbean team

.... and what you'll call Bahamas who ranked lower than Montserrat in FIFA

I wouldn't comment of de game right now because most of you'll saw it ..... so some behind de scenes tings .

The mood (vibes) in de camp is 100% better according to one insider. Another one say Fenwick was de worst coach to ever coach de national team and this person has been around de national set up for over ah decade.
I must say in terms of his pre game management Eve and his staff were very organized probably the most professional looking group last night with Haiti a distant second.

None of St Vincent goalies made it because of visa issues so a young teenage defender was put in goal
Barbados also had some players missing because of visa issues too.
Cuba ain't arrive yet, stuck in Nicaragua with visa problems and US Embassy doh open on a Saturday. Dey hoping for ah from the plane to de game situation.

Finally as one person put it although the team had a much improve performance, Coach Eve has already identified areas they need to work on.

On to Tuesday

Angus Eve would be a big mistake for T&T head coach.

Yuh could kiss all foreign based players good buy.

He fail as T&T youth coach when the TTFA had money, now they don't, what make you think he go do better.

He was coach for de under 20 and under 23 and fail big time.

We have no good local coaches because all of them stock on one level and have the same mentality.

well Sam de word out there is he got the job. Just waiting to appoint his staff.

well flocks.... what do you think? Not to sure he has the backing of the players after today's display. It was pathetic at best.
so a coach needs the backing of the players on a national team, so tell me this, if I don’t like the coach then I shagg the team and disappoint the fans just because I want the coach gone?? then why the blazes do you guys even support such shitty players, I know I won’t. BTW I believe jovin Jones should be history after this, this player has been pulling on my balls for a spell now. he’s grown way too big for his britches.

It appears that there's trouble in T&T camp. I've been around several T&T teams not only in football and I could tell you some behind the scenes stuff that will surprise you including one when we almost didn't play a final. Senior players play an important role in creating the right atmosphere/vibes in the camp and if they don't like or have respect for the coach things could get sour quickly which affects the performance.

was at the game yesterday against LA Galaxy. Joevin started, played almost the whole game, taken out at the end. Nothing special, you can definitely see the disconnect or miss understanding between Joevin and his teammates. I guess because he's new and they have to understand each other. I believe 2 of the 3 goals in La"s 3-2 victory came on Joevin side. The team wasn't also prepared for his accurate crosses from the left to inside the box. I guess as the season roles on the communication will be better, let's see.

Mediocre in Mayaguez: Muckette, Wilfredo and T&T’s missing jockey shorts
Sean Powder Tuesday 30 March 2021 Global Football, National Football, Wired 868

I arrived 20 minutes prior to kick off at the Estadio Centroamericano in Mayaguez to a populated parking lot with a surprising stream of fans in red, white and blue.

The Puerto Rican Football Federation president Ivan Rivera stated on 15 March that the game would be played behind closed doors. Apparently for the Boriquen ‘closed to the public’ is as fluid a term as ‘excellence’ for Trinidad and Tobago head coach Terry Fenwick.

I learned that the Puerto Rican Federation provided every football club on the island with two tickets; and, although there was a guest list at the entrance, some Puerto Rican clubs might have studied our 19 November 1989 ticketing process.

The World Cup qualifier was staged at the home of Puerto Rico Sol FC, one of the strongest football programs in Puerto Rico since its founding in 2016. Across the street is Plaza Patos y Copas, a wonderful revenue generator—though I do not know whether for the club or the federation.

Former TTFA president David John-Williams would love the setting.

As the match kicked off on a pitch surrounded by an athletic track, Fenwick spent much of his time in lane one trying to get as close as possible to his players who he shouted orders to constantly.
Puerto Rico head coach Dave Sarachan, on the hand, only emerged from his bench with the occasional tactical adjustment.

The first half ended with both teams still on even terms. Thank Trinidad and Tobago goalkeeper Nicklas Frenderup for that, as he was lively and commanding—save for one strike that he judged to be wide but which struck his near post.

As the second half got underway, our back four must have felt like I did at the San Juan airport, greeted by an ants’ nest of Covid-19 regulations and tables of individuals in gloves, masks and white disposal suits, awaiting your ‘intake’. It was like a scene from the movie Pandemic.

In the Estadio Centroamericano, Trinidad and Tobago, effectively using four six foot central defenders across their entire backline, were struggling to cope with the nippy Puerto Ricans.

The 17-year-old human highlight reel that is right winger Wilfredo A Rivera Cepeda, aka Wilfredo Rivera, looked particularly impressive in an otherwise mediocre game.

Wilfredo spent his early years at one of the oldest clubs in Puerto Rico, Academia Quintana, and hails from the Quintana neighborhood of San Juan, where boys sweat from early in the morning until after the sun sets. He immigrated to Jacksonville, FL where he eventually joined Orlando FC.

Almost every talented footballer has some ‘barrio football’ in their past and Wilfredo is no different. The sons of the privileged almost never rise to the top in the game.

Fenwick injected some creativity into his team in the second half by swapping Daniel Phillips with Duane Muckette, and the impact was felt on and off the field.

“Ay Dios Mio (oh my God),” said the Puerto Rican fan next to me, “it’s good they did not start ‘Number 10’ because he changed the game. Now we are going to lose…”

Joevin Jones put the visitors ahead within 10 minutes of Muckette’s introduction. But the Trinidad and Tobago players were not efficient with our chances, while their defence always seemed desperate for protection from the Puerto Rico attackers.

We needed better game management. There didn’t appear to be a plan to sit deeper and hit them on the counter with Levi Garcia and Willis Plaza, or for Michel Poon-Angeron to stay home and look after the back four.

The match remained opened and Puerto Rico eventually found an equaliser with an attack that was well constructed but poorly defended.

“Yo soy Boricua pa que tu lo sepas (I am Puerto Rican in case you didn’t know),” sang the home fans, as they pushed their boys to go for the victory.

But 1-1 was as good as it was going to get for the hosts.

I was fortunate to meet and spend some time with Puerto Rico defender Nicolás Javier Cordona and flanker Gerald Jadiel Diaz after the match. They and the supporters felt the result was fair, although they felt they could have taken all three points.

They still view Trinidad and Tobago as a Caribbean powerhouse and considered the result to be an excellent one for the development of Puerto Rican football.

As a true patriot, I played along with their description of our team as a ‘powerhouse’, and did not tell them the emperor might have lost his jockey shorts some time ago.

WATCH: Snippet of pre-match press conference with Fenwick and Hyland.

<a href="https://www.youtube.com/v/I8vrLqqTkxE" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" class="bbc_link bbc_flash_disabled new_win">https://www.youtube.com/v/I8vrLqqTkxE</a>

these pre match press conferences make no sense. it's a waste of time. We learn nothing new except diplomacy and as we say in Trinidad - mamaguy. No insight on injuries update eg Bateau. Nothing on if the player tested positive for COVID then negative is available for tomorrows match. When will Fenwick have a real press conference.
