With strong contributions from 15-year-olds Tevin Figaro and Shaquille Bertran, Real Footballers won the Under-16 Divisions of both the Arima and Eddie Hart Football Leagues.
Figaro, a defender, was voted the Under-16 MVP in both leagues. The St Joseph Secondary student, who also trains with Joe Public and the National Under-16 team, was named as one of the Maloney Young Star Players.
Bertran, a student of El Dorado Secondary, scored 20 goals in the Arima League and 15 in the Eddie Hart League. He had scored 16 and 18 respectively in the previous season. He also trains with the Joe Public and National Under-16 teams. Both players favourite footballer is Christiano Ronaldo.
The Leagues’ prizes were sponsored by EOG Resources-Prestige Holdings and Print-A-Pak-Beacon Insurance.
