SHAQUILLE BERTRAND scored five goals as La Horquetta XF demolished FCM Supreme XI FC 12-1 on Tuesday as the Emerald Apartments and Plaza-sponsored Eastern Football Association (EFA) FA Trophy Competition began.
Bertrand got his name on the scoresheet in the fourth, tenth, 27th, 61st and 84th minutes in the lopsided rout.
Jermoul Francois (11th and 37th), Dejon Waldrop (15th and 63rd) and Tyrik Sampson (32nd and 44th) chipped in with two apiece, while Mackay Daniel notched the other.
Malta Carib Alcons cruised to a 3-0 victory against Tunapuna Titans, with strikes from Chris Hosein (20th), Jeron Blingh (40th) and Jason Campbell (66th).
And Ryan O’Neal registered a hat-trick to guide Creek SCC to a 3-1 win over FC Maloney.
O’Neal found the back of the net in the 12th, 27th and 41st minutes, with Jabari Hamilton pulling one back for Maloney in the 62nd.
