Super Industrial Services Limited (SIS) walked away with the top prize of $10,000 after they captured the SIS Industrial Football league title recently.

The SIS boys defeated Trinidad Cement Limited (TCL) 4-2 in the finals to send their mass of fans into wild celebrations at the Ato Boldon Stadium in Couva.

This was the second title won by SIS after they got the better of National Gas Company in the finals in 2008.

Early in the match SIS asserted their authority when Kefim Blackford opened the scoring. Tyrel Gabriel would add to that and at the half SIS led 2-0.

In the second half TCL replied but further goals from Blackford and Gabriel ended nay chance they had of staging a comeback.Kefim ended the tournament with six goals, while Tyrel scored five.

In the play-off for third place, last year’s defending champions NGC defeated IGL 4-2. Khairon George and Mark Defreitas netted for IGL, while NGC got goals from Shae Bethel (2), Dale Baxter and goalkeeper Ronnie Kantasingh.

NGC scored two goals before IGL responded. It was 3-1 when IGL pulled one back (substitute Mark Defreitas). NGC goalkeeper came out late in the match to score NGC’s 4th goal.
