M&M Harvard remain firmly in second place in the bmobile National Super League (NSL), though eight points off the lead, after a 5-2 beating of East West Coaching School on Sunday at the Queen's Park Oval.
Glen Walker scored a goal on either side of half-time, including a 90th minute item, to help to secure a comfortable victory.
East West had a 2-1 advantahe by the 34th minute, through Handell Manswell (22nd) and Darnell Julian (34th), after Harvard took the early lead. Then Walker struck in the 43rd and a pair of late goals--Christon Freitas had the other in the 85th--sealed the deal for Harvard.
Also at the Oval, hosts Queen's Park got past Tobago club 1976 FC Phoenix Sports Club 3-1.
Leaders bmobile Joe Public had no problems turning back Defence Force 2-0 at Cumana Recreation Ground with a Dorion Robinson (11th, 56th) double, while T&TEC defeated Club Sando by the same margin at the Ato Boldon Stadium, Couva, on a Jamaal Ayers (14th, 44th) brace.
Fergus Thomas also scored twice for Carenage United to turn a 2-1 deficit into a 3-2 victory over St Francois Nationals at Youth Camp, Chaguaramas, and Harlem Strikers edged Economy Strikers 1-0 at Frederick Settlement.

Super League brings sleepy Cumana alive.

The otherwise quiet village of Cumana was a hive of activity when Super League teams Bmobile Joe Public and Defence Force had their first head on clash at the Cumana Recreation Ground on Sunday.
Councillor Martin Terry Rondon, vice chairman of the Sangre Grande Regional Corporation expressed his pleasure with the match being held on the Anglais Road Ground.
“If not for the game, today would have been a quiet day.
“This is a good means to get the youths of the area out of crime and coming here to play,” Rondon said.
In their enduring support to the league and by extension the community, Bmobile contributed some goodies for the kids to enjoy.
Bmobile Joe Public blazed their opponents 2-0 to keep their stature on top of the standings.
The second match between Toco Secondary School versus Cumana United ended in a one-all draw in the opening of the North East Coast Super League.
