MORIAH Youths and Youth Stars United took full points from whipping boys HV Milan last week to secure the top spots in the Eastern Conference of the Tobago Football Association (TFA).

Following their victories, both sides are on 22 points, with the identical goal difference of plus-two.

However, the top berth will go to Moriah Youths (26 goals), who have netted more items than Youth Stars (21) and have  played 12 games, one more than their rivals.

Kevin Henry and Keegan Proctor landed the efforts for Moriah Youths in their 2-1 win over Milan, who got their item from Kelson Manswell on home soil at Dusty Park in Hope Village on Sunday. Kareem Denoon, Raoul Trotman and Jimoke Sheppard were the marksmen for Youth Stars in their triumph over Milan last Friday

In the TFA Western Conference, NLCB Mt Grace took over second spot from 1976 FC Phoenix on the back of a 2-0 success over Carnbee/Mt Pleasant on Sunday at Mt Pleasant.

Doing the business for the winners, who now have 21 points with a game in hand over leaders Black Rock, was Jerril Gibbs plus an own goal.

Black Rock lead the race in the west with 27 points, Mt Grace are next with 21, while Phoenix are one point behind them with 20.

The latter have two games in hand on the leaders and one in hand over the side above them in the standings.

In other results from the west, Carnbee/Mt Pleasant were victorious last Friday when they edged Lambeau FC 1-0 at Signal Hill.

James Thomas got the goal for the winners.

And Moriah Youths also suffered a suprise 2-1 defeat to Northside Combined at Mt Grace on Friday.

Goal-scorers for Northside were Kwesi Jarette and Kareem Ducan, while Keegan Proctor replied for the losers.

Play in the Eastern and Western Conferences will be halted temporarily for the opening round of the FA Cup, which kicked off Tuesday.
