Table toppers Georgia FC, defending champions Stokely Vale, Roxborough Lakers, Sidey's FC and newcomers Dominion SS Golden Lane FC all remain with a chance to capture the title in the Tobago Football Association League Championship competition which is at its midway stage.

St Clair Coaching School is in sixth position with 16 points, seven points adrift of the leader and though they are presently struggling, having lost their last three games, because of their pedigree, they cannot be written off.

Stokely Vale won a very entertaining and exciting contest against Georgia to draw level on points with them, 23 points, but Georgia has retained the pole position by virtue of a better goal difference. Lakers are in third position with 19 points and fourth place Sidey's FC have 18 points with Golden Lane in fifth with 17 points. None of the top five can afford to lose at this stage if they hope to stay in contention and the keenest of the competition indicates that the race for the title is heading for another photo finish.

In the most exciting game last week Georgia FC scored on the half time whistle when Shay Jerry beat the off side trap to collect a through past and slip the ball into the net to give his team a one-nil lead against Stokely Vale.

The Plymouth boys though unable to respond in the first half had the better chances in the game but poor finishing enable Georgia to hold on to their lead up until the 80th minute when Dwayne Leacock collected a perfect cross from Curtis Job on the left slide and slot the ball into the nets to level the score.

Both teams played attacking football in the last ten minutes, as neither seemed to be content with a draw but it was the two-times defending champions Stokley Vale who got the winner on the stroke of regulation time.

Stokely Vale's Aluko Chadband fired a bullet from inside the 18 yards box which the Georgia custodian could only parry and it fell to the feet of Dominic Mc Dougall who made no mistake with his shot to the delight of his teammates and supporters.

Sidey's FC continued Coaching School's demise with a 2-0 victory while Charlotteville Unifiers edged Roxborough Lakers 1-0 and Castara Retreats Goal City and Classic Tours Goodwood United battled to a goalless draw.
