George Joseph Premiership Division champion, St Clair’s Coaching School and First Division winner Lambeau will contest the Community Cup final of the Tobago Football Association on Sunday at Dwight Yorke Stadium, from 7 pm.

Coaching School marched into the final on Sunday with a hard-fought 8-7 win on penalty kicks over Roxborough Lakers; while Lambeau scored a come-from-behind 3-1 victory over Signal Hill United. Both matches were played at the Bacolet venue.

Goalkeeper Nicholas Roberts, who is one of the stalwarts on the St Clair team, turned out to be the star of the match, saving three penalties and was responsible for netting the  final kick to set up the victory.

He also made some important saves during the course of the match. St Clair’s shot into the lead in the 15th minute when a Denzyl James freekick was  blundered by the Lakers goalkeeper.

Lakers responded 10 minutes after the interval, Kirn Harris beating James with a header from a right-side cross.

“We are very confident when we are in  penalty shootouts because our goalkeeper is noted for saving penalties, “ said George Joseph, manager of Coaching School.

With regards to meeting Lambeau in the final, Joseph pointed out: “Basically, we would not be approaching the game with any complacency because Lambeau was the winner of the First Division.

“Automatically, they (Lambeau) have gained promotion so we would be treating them as though they are a normal member of the Premiershiup Division.”

St Clair’s will be seeking to complete a treble, a feat it last achieved in 1996. Lambeau fell behind to a 15th minute strike by Signal Hill’s Esron Hinds.

It had to wait till the 59th minute to level the score through Alon Forester. Anson Campbell gave the Lambeaunans the lead in the 75th minute and Forester put the match out of the reach of Signal Hill in the 80th minute.
