Let me remind folks that Gally said most of What Fenwick is saying. We need our own style.
Whatever that is in 2020. Enjoy the ride and Hope is what we must believe in.

Contro is right. Having lived and work in Trinidad from 1973- 2000-and having worked in the USA.
Performance beats old talk. Different work ethic, Continuing education . Performance appraisals and if you cannot compete- Surplus to requirement. One has to be fit Physically/ spiritually and when you are black work twice as hard to have a seat at the table

Players must have respect for the Coach. Somehow the foreign Coaches have the edge when it comes to Respect. Something about the Culture- Foreign better and NIH- Not invented here. Sad but true.

7
In todays Express= TT$50 million in debt - where will we find the money for a foreign Coach.

I am Sure Yorke would take it. With Latas and Lara around that is enough motivation.
Why not give Fenwick a chance.

Football / Re: Wallace new TTFA president

Congrats and Best Wishes. a new beginning. What we need is a servant leader and a heart for what is Best for Trinidad and Tobago Football. The New President must have a vision and let all the stake holders have a say in the way forward. We need to recapture the Spirit of The Gally Era and build from the community levels and then attract the Fans back to The Stadium.
 To God be the Glory,

It seems as though I have to say some serious prayers tomorrow for what is Best For Trinidad & Tobago Football. Where there is no Vision the People Perish.

Oh Dear-What can the matter be?
Looking for a white Foreigner/ We need a good striker and more pace in the counter especially from the midfield.

Did this really happen/ Or is it a personality conflict rearing it's ugly head. Now if this opportunity was denied , then  Mr Baptiste ought to be congratulated for speaking Truth to Power .

We seem to get near the river Jordan but cant cross to the promise land. I remember Jack warner saying that the Women's team offered the best promise to make a world cup. we were competitive despite the inherent problems , then we seemed to have lost the script. we had the talent but fitness seemed to have been the problem . What went wrong - Forumites.

I looked at the game yesterday and it was painful to watch, Boom Kick hoping to find the lone forward. No midfield player to bring the ball in transition. Good first half but looked like school girls in the second half. Was it fitness levels yet again. Most of these players have been together a long time . Basics were not there .

Looking at the highlights- Thanks to TallMan- we were wasteful in front of goal . Hence the result.
I was awaiting the Coach's response but he seems to be silent.

What was the attendance like- Some thing is drastically wrong if we cant beat Grenada with this team that we put on display. Still leaking goals- down 2- nil near the end of the game. Some one's job has to be on the line.

I remember Touches had to be lifted up to get in the stadium on that fatal night when all we needed was a draw. I was a Senator and I gave up my privilege seat in the stadium to a man with three sons who could not get in because of over sold tickets.  My  brother and I walked back to All Saints Rectory saddened by the politics that played out on that day. I was at a clergy meeting tonight when Revenge was sweet and how I glory in the fact  that as Beenhakeer  said on any given day , it is 11 vs 11.
now let us believe and move on to the next level.
I am a Malvern Fan and what I admire of that team in the past was blood , sweat and tears . that is what we need of the new generation of ballers.
Folks don't know when you live in the States what this Victory means to us in the Diaspora

Jumbo is also a very respectful human being. His talent for throwing nuts is only matched with his great heart and Love for Trinidad & Tobago. We need more of those salt of the Earth and Light of the world people. Be the best you can- Thank you Jumbo.

Let me refresh some memories- What we are saying about KJ , we said the same thing about Stern John.
I would hate to be a striker playing for T&T. He gets blamed for everything. Now if the midfield is not providing for the lone striker, what is the poor man to do when he is isolated most of the time. KJ strength is his head and he needs to get some decent crosses in the box to be effective.

Three points will give us a chance at 4th place playoff. The manager should tell the players Thursday is a holiday and there is a Boat Ride on Thursday and he has reserved seats as a bonus-   Now what better motivation than that .

I guess the altitude had something to do with the pedestrian passing. I liked what I saw and with a little bit of luck we could have gotten something from this game. if Carlos  had taken on men on a one to one
we could have looked a little dangerous on the Counter. I was a little disappointed on the slow counter attack that was so productive against Mexico, under Hart. Not comparing Coaches just an observation.
From this W/C journey we seem to be able to compete with the big boys, We do need someone to put the ball in the back of the Net. Fourth place is possible.

Look on the bright side, some of the local players getting a sweat against Grenada can boast that they played for Trinidad & Tobago and that they played International football.
Secondly we have to find work for Dennis and his staff so what better incentive than a three days holiday in Grenada .

Gally Cummings was right when he said to me one day , The Reason That I don't go on these local sites is that Everyone in Trinidad & Tobago is a coach and they know what is best for the Team.

Football / Re: PLAYING NICE ?? The TnT Myth
« on: March 25, 2017, 07:04:59 AM »
Well Big Magician , I may be in a position to challenge you about seeing more T&T matches. I go way back to the Grand stand , Savannah in the days of T&T vs Suriname. Be that as it may I understand what you are saying about Nice. Most of us are addicted to our way of thinking and Nice for you may not be Nice for me. I called Touches and ask him how we looking as a Team. I am looking for good chemistry , pressing the ball , stringing  passes together . Running into spaces and quick counter attack.
That is Nice for me, although I would say an efficient performance can trump Nice.
Most Fans look at the Strike Squad Era under Gally and called that NICE  football. Latapy is a NICE footballer . I guess when we can beat men and Dribble like Clauzel, or head a ball like Ronnie Gray and tackle like the TANK- Delabastide , or string up the goalkeeper like Chalky Hamel smith , that is Nice football. As the saying goes Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, and so Is Nice football. Getting to Russia is all that matters and I don't care how Nice we play , winning is the name of the Game and War is never Nice.

Once KJ is selected , he is the Captain. This is Trinidad & Tobago change hard to come by.
 I would go Jan Williams.
