Just imagine trying to organise a football club when you don't know when your first match is! Players have been in pre season since end of June. Now they need a break!!
No idea what the delay is, but there is a Pro League board meeting today, so perhaps we'll know more later??  :frustrated:

Where'd the Americans come from? Also was there a news story on these moves? Totally missed these :( - do they have Trini second nationalities? I think Kareem Smith is just Trini rather than american if it's the guy who was at T&TEC?

America.  ;D

Bradley Welch and Kareem Smith have Trini parentage. Kareem has 6 senior team caps, and Welch has been in our U-23 and U-20 setup.

Just goes to show how many decent Trini players are out there, but not actively pursued by Pro League clubs. These boys understand that to earn the big bucks, they have to be part of the National team set up. To do that, they must play regularly in front of Hart.
Suddenly, players are recognising the value of the Pro League.
The standard is steadily improving and our National team will also benefit over time.
The next step will be to attract some foreign internationals to the local league. This will then establish the Pro League as the top choice for players in the Caribbean.

Good point FS, I've definitely picked up a difference between this season and last in terms of transfer movement.

Is he related to the Keeper who's in the US, is it Johan Welch?

I think João Ananias left W Connection and has returned to Brazil?

08/01/2014 The flywheel , which has been training away from the cast, will be released for any team to pay their wages in full , and meanwhile , the lateral John Ananias back the loan to W Connection of Trinidad and Tobago .

Elicarlos , one of the most recognizable names in alvirrubro squad , leave the Nautical . The news was confirmed today ( 8 ] by Lucius Surubim , manager of club soccer , which has not ruled out the possibility of selling the player, who has a contract with the Thimphu by the year 2016.

" We seek the businessman Elicarlos three times and he did not answer us, nor gave sign of life . So , we concluded that the player does not want to stay at the Nautical. Wherefore we are working , there is no room for players who do not want to stay club . Accordingly , Elicarlos will be available for loan or sale, " explained Surubim . " No matter what club he will come after him . Whether negotiating with the Nautical , will lead the player without any problem ," he concluded .

Lucio added: " If he [ Elicarlos ] did not lower his salary here in Nautical, is because it has market if it has market, some club will pay a full salary athlete. . "

While Eli, who is 28 years old and defended the CNC in over 200 games , will go away , right-back John Ananias , silver - of - house, back to alvirrubra team. He was loaned to W Connection FC , Trinidad and Tobago , and is already training with the squad in CT Wilson Fields .

The Lisca coach proved to be quite excited about the return of the 22 year old . Surubim , in turn , said that the way to the Caribbean country assured Ananias experience and maturity to a player who competed in the TT Pro League ( national championship ) , the FA Trophy ( National Cup ) and CONCACAF Champions League ( continental competition of teams of countries of North and Central ) by Trinidadian club.
