Goal City stole the spotlight in the Tobago Football Association Premier Division League Championship tournament last week when they bombed out one of the most renowned clubs in Tobago,St Clair Coaching School.

It was the most humiliating loss suffered by the School which has been consistently finishing in the top five for more than a decade now.

A Coaching School official stated that while they were disappointed with the loss they were not making excuses. He noted that the loss of the nucleus of the team recently was the main reason for their poor showing. He said at least seven players have left the team to join the professionals ranks with the Mau Pau team in the Trinidad Professional League and four have returned to the United States to continue their football scholarships or start scholarships.

Goal City capitalised on the school's dilemma as they had its very inexperience team pinned in their half for the majority of the game and should have won by an even wider margin but for inept finishing by their strikers.

Earlier in the week, the school had battled to a lackluster one all draw with Stokely Vale who are in second place on the standings, three points behind table-toppers Georgia FC who are on 23 points. Roxborough Lakers are in third position with 19 points while Coaching School are in fourth with 16 points but unless they acquire some talented and experienced players soon they could find themselves plummeting to the lower rung on the standings.

In the Zonal Conference, Mason Hall United SSS and Black Rock United are the leaders in the Eastern and Western Conferences respectively.
