TITLE-HOLDERS Stokely Vale made full use of home advantage to eke out a 1-0 victory over Roxborough Lakers at Plymouth last Friday.

With that result, the winners replaced the losers in second place in the standings of the Digicel Tobago Football Association (TFA).

The back-to-back champions are now three points behind leaders Georgia United (23 points), who were inactive last time out.

Jareem Quashie netted the winning item for the hometown boys to push them to 20 points from ten matches.

Former champs Georgia, who are having a dream season this time around following a three-year battle to stay in the top flight, have also played ten games, winning seven, drawing a pair and losing one to date.

Four-time champs St Clair Coaching School received their worst-ever licking in the TFA competition, with a humiliating 9-0 defeat at the hands of Castara Retreats Goal City at Montgomery, also on Friday.

Leading the hammering of Coaching  School was Kenyon Manswell, who netted five times.

There was also one item each for Akini Ferguson, Kerlon Ferguson, Seon Barry and Nester George in the lopsided win.

Despite that massive defeat, Coaching School stayed in fourth spot on 16 points from nine encounters.

On the other side, the success lifted Goal City two places up to seventh.

They have 14 points from ten games in the 12-club race for end-of-season glory.

And Mega Brite Bethel United completed their first round fixtures with a 1-1 draw against last-placed Classic Tours Goodwood at Montgomery on Saturday.

Downie Marcelle scored for Bethel United and Ashford Legerton replied for newly-promoted Goodwood.
