On the topic of funding, Weary's church donated TT $2,410 (approx US $357) to Socawarriors.net/Warrior Nation. The funds will be used to start a foundation/fund in her name to continue the Annual Food Drive...Wow
Nick DeLeon ready to pick between Trinidad and Tobago, United StatesHmmm... does he really want to play for us or just positioning himself in hope of a U.S. call up?
ESPNFC.com
D.C. United midfielder Nick DeLeon has opened the door to representing Trinidad and Tobago, confirming that he'll make the call on his international allegiance in the coming months.
Born in Phoenix, Arizona, the 25-year-old is eligible to play for the Caribbean nation through his father -- T&T international and former NASL player Leroy DeLeon.
DeLeon has declined two previous call ups from T&T, but now says that the pull of international football is too good to turn down.
"I have been approached by [T&T] multiple times. I'll know in the next month what team I'll be playing for," DeLeon said at MLS Media Day.
"It's exciting, very exciting. You're exposed to a lot more teams, a lot more coaches. It's a lot higher competition where you can test yourself against some of the best guys."
DeLeon knows that he can turn to his father for advice but, in the end, only he can make the final decision.
"I'll ask his advice as far as what he thinks of the team and that type of thing," DeLeon said. "But as far as where he wants me to play, it's up to me.
"He's in my corner, wherever that is."
what do they mean when they said that we will not take part because of world cup qualifying, isn't jamaica and haiti involved as well in world cup qualifying?
and didn't they just kept a caribbean cup finals in antigua the just before they had it in jamaica, while we haven't host the darn thing since 2007 and with the best facilities added to that, what is really going on with CFU are they for real?
Good to have some news about our players in India,I wondered what had happened to "Bleeder",but glad to know he is doing well, the Indian League is growing and it may turn out good for some of our players in the future.Isn't Glen and Theobald good enough to still play for TT,only asking.Glen maybe... However Theobald was a great servant to the team and deserves 100 caps. Can anyone confirm? I believe he is very close to that figure.
Justin Hoyte has been ruled out after suffering a hamstring with his club Dagenham and Redbridge.Damn!
It would be a blessing for Cardiff to see this tragedy as a public relations opportunity and say to KJ "Jonesy go play for your nation".Wtf
Wait nah?! We couldn't give Rowley a new Joma kit? De man sporting ah old generic adidas jersey! The teams walk out and we stand up for the Anthems and greetings from the dignitaries. Last few games when they announced the heads of state and the government ministers a loud boo would be heard from the crowd. This rounds it was a big cheer for Dr. Rowley and the loudest cheer went to Russel Latapy who greeted the players as well.
I would like to big up the Warrior Nation members who diligently and expertly brought out the giant flag. It was a sight to behold and they unfurled it quickly just before the anthem started. What a show of national pride, you really don't know the great response that flag gets from all those in the opposing stand and players on the field. Everybody turned and looked, all the camera men starting snapping away and phones just come out recording. When you are in grounds you don't see the reactions, but this act is an important one. Good job again for all those involved.

What madness you talking??!! Why hire stewards when you can just close the gate? And remember it is not assigned seating we talking about here!Would like to hear all ya views on if they were to move the big yellow fence all around the uncovered and have it just like the covered standsapparently it's the same way all over the world mate. i have been to quite a few stadiums in england and it's the same principle where patrons are allowed throughout the stadium. this last summer i went to the gold cup at met life stadium and yes everyone went where they wanted throughout the whole stadium, but you weren't allowed to settle in an area if you didn't have the right ticket stubs, that is what the stewards are for to make sure people don't encroach on the seating arrangements. maybe they need stewards at the HCS.
A low fence that now obstructing anyone's view
I dont think we have a hooligan mentality and once there is adequate security around the track, nobody mad enough to break the ranks.
just a thought
And how bout, we gone downstairs half time. First bar...inna mess...almost everything done.
next one is just food.
So we kept walking.
Pass the bathrooms and reach a next bar...looking decent..so we lineup.
Eh really study where we are
Next thing we see a friend, she ask us
"i thought all ya in uncovered stands???"
Apparently the gate between covered and uncovered under the stands by the bar areas was open n ppl could have roamed back n forth if they wanted!
that is pure and utter BS
ALSO, i believe it is Carib Special events that run the bars (judging from the bartenders jerseys"
those bars were PISS POOR!!!!
not because of the bartenders but because they dont seem to have enough ppl working it and not enough bins with ice to keep drinks cold
i feel it for them
