No this is not a threat, I just thought that you should know what may a wait you when you arrive, I am not a Sunderland supporter myself but I know of people that have been abused while been at the town of Sunderland, as I say I hope this doesnt happen and you have an enjoyable trip.
Many thanks.
As you may not know Sunderland is only a town as it doesnt have a cathedral some people call it a city but it is one of the poorest in the UK as is there grasp on racial equality.
how much you all want to bet that it was a group of CUNFs from the dark side, the town in which there is a New Castle.

And by the way guys, while you're here you may want to check out the beautiful Sunderland Minster.   It's the cathedral that doesn't exist...   ;)

It might also be noted that York, one of our oldest and most beautiful cities also has a minster and not a cathedral.  :whistling:

Don't take any notice of idiots like Gooly trying to stir up trouble, it seems he's a little ill informed. Enjoy your trip to Sunderland.

Gooly is a NUFC fan.
Let me tell you about them.
They are our very bitter rivals, and are VERY afraid of the success that our Warriors are helping to bring to SAFC.
They are so afraid of us that they tell lies and make up stories, in fact anything to try and halt our great success,
The whole of Sunderland will be glad to welcome you, there is no racism here and I look forward to meeting some of you at the airport or train station to give you a lift, see you soon xx :-* :-*
I like you, you remind me of when I was young and stupid

Hi, Im a long-time poster (aka sad git) on the SMB and new guest here. Fantastic message board.  :rotfl: ;D

Anyway, Im not sure who is coordinating things from our end - ie the Sunderland end - but if anyone needs any help to get them to the Wolves match, whether it would be lifts, accommodation, r anything else whatsoever, then dont hesitate to ask. You will be made very welcome, as you will by all at Sunderland, Im sure.

Sunderland is a city, as made by royal appointment in 1992. You don't have to have a cathedral in order to be a city. Shows how much Gooly knows about Sunderland.

Next up... why Sunderland is not a City on account of the train station only having 2 platforms.

Hey, careful, man, there's a beverage here!

I always knew that Newcastle fans were very bitter but this post by gooly astounds me. I cannot believe he would stoop so low as to call Sunderland a racist 'town'

He is a very very bitter and twisted individual and is obviously very jealous of the global attention Sunderland is getting these days. I am amazed he is trying to frighten fans so that they do not come to the game.

As I hope you are all aware by the Sunderland fans who come on here, we are a very friendly bunch and you will be made so very welcome.

It will be a fantastic occasion and the Newcastle fans or as they are locally known, the cartoon army, will be looking on enviously.

p.s. gooly, get yourself on the smb so I can swear at you

I wouldn't take it personally... some people on there were complaining cos there was a Mexican Wave in the ground a couple of weeks back.

And if you read the whole thread, there's only 1, maybe 2, people who are actually against it.  And they probably sit in the East Stand (aka The Morgue).
