General Discussion / Re: List of All Candidates for Nov 5 Election
« on: November 06, 2007, 06:43:52 AM »
Patrick Manning, the leader of the PNM, in declaring victory was defiant as ever claiming the PNM "has succeeded in bridging the divide". Winston Dookeran, leader of the COP in conceding, appeared to be unsure of continuing in politics. Basdeo Panday and Jack Warner, co-leaders of UNC Alliance said they underestimated COP in their ability to split the votes.

We will see how sweet TnT goes for the next 5 years.

General Discussion / FIFA: Jack Warner campaigning for TnT Prime Minister
« on: October 26, 2007, 05:51:19 AM »
FIFA has stated in a report on it's website that CONCACAF President and FIFA VP Jack Warner is "currently campaigning to become the Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago". Warner is in South Africa on both FIFA and UNC Alliance business, with UNC-A co-leader Basdeo Panday in tow.

Please note we have also updated the list of candidates.

In what is appearing to be very comical, police attempted to halt a show at Zen Nightclub on Friday featuring Machel Montano, Benjai, Patrice Roberts and Zan. The police told Machel, "Stop allowing the women to touch your (testicles)." Frustrated Montano said, "If all yuh want to lock meh up, lock meh up."

This is jokes! Organic, I might be making the flex to the all fours...

I am 99.9% sure that Blatter CANNOT make any such declaration

why so? anybody can do it. citizens of TnT just need to know when to filter BS from facts. An endorsement is an endorsement for what it is, no more no less.

According to the reports from Trinidad and Tobago, FIFA VP, CONCACAF President, special advisor for TTFF and newly appointed joint leader for UNC Alliance Jack Warner will be officially endorsed in TnT elections 2007 by FIFA President Sepp Blatter.

It was TT$173 million plus TT$32 million from the government is what I understand. In any event it is a HUGE difference from the reported funding from TTFF to the players AKA BOBOL

haha, it amazes me how bold-face Jack is even in the international arena. The man have no lock for his mouth at all. How about you keep it to yourself and vote accordingly. Instead he rile up the hooligans in England. They have him mark, and that petition is gaining signatures rapidly.

Yeah I agree that the only way to beat Jack is for all the players to strike and for us to have no team at all. The only problem with that is, it just not feasible. If ii playing super league football and all the pro league men not striking, it must have 22 men somewhere in Trinidad who thinking ''if i make the side and hit a man two beats on the international stage, i might get a overseas contract'', so the deeper he goes into the leagues he bound to find some players.

But that is the only way boy..otherwise Jack have us by the balls. If the government intervene, the country gets banned and then all the UNC supporters will blame PNM rather than Jack, so either way he win.

This is why the attitude change has to be there from:

1. The public (fans/supporters etc.) to get behind PFATT and SUPPORT them.
2. The younger players MUST understand that by playing they are in effect undermining their future bargaining power on the senior team and also PFATT. If we stand for nothing we fall for anything.

Well for sure you not on Jackula Christmas List !!.......yeah we football real siffering cause of the jacklisting ! :beermug:
fe real... there wont be any rides in jacks Helicopter if you keep this up gaper :beermug: :beermug: :beermug:

fellas, i used to defend jack a bit when he was the only entity willing to step up to put some $$$ behind the team. However, when you start to mess up the players who take us to where we are I have a problem. To blacklist players that are in a dispute with the federation reeks dictatorship. And that is what it is. When last Oliver Camps make a statement on behalf of TTFF? only person u hearing is Jack.

As the blacklisted players ask.. "WHERE IS THE MONEY FROM THE ADIDAS AND EBAY DEAL GONE????" Please account for it. And a little simmy dimmy Excel spreadsheet is not cutting it.

time for the TnT supporters to revolt against the TTFF and SHOW SOLIDARITY WITH THE TEAM.

I personally think THAT ALL TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO FOOTBALLERS called up to the senior team SHOULD SHOW SOLIDARITY also. Because if you don't you give Jack the opportunity to dig out the eye of new, young players. the older guys took a stand. PLEASE SUPPORT THEM. Rijsbergen should have no players to select, cause as fast as they are selected, they should then come out and say we showing solidarity. Let Jack go to primary schools next to find players.

I have taken the liberty to write an article summarizing the effects of Jack on our country's football and how devestating it actually is. If this same thing happened in England, Italy, France etc., the countries populations would be rioting. what is happening in Trinidad and Tobago???? If the government bans Carnival I am sure there would be a greater uproar! come on peeps...

Take a read, and feel free to comment either here or at ttgapers.

=======

The Trinidad and Tobago Football Team, affectionately known as the Soca Warriors and previously the Strike Squad, has been for many years at the mercy of Austin Jack Warner, CONCACAF President, FIFA Vice President and Special Advisor to the Trinidad and Tobago Football Federation. Recently, the majority of the Warriors have been blacklisted over disagreements over compensation from the first, and successful World Cup campaign in Germany.

I am not sure about that site...seems bogus. as far as i know this is the de facto Sizzla website...we get new releases from them weekly..

16
Would that cost alot ???

as far as i can see, it costs zero as SMF appears to be open-source.

i will forward it to them, but i am sure they are aware of it by now. apparently this guy did the same thing twice? that means a vulnerability exists that has not been patched since the first hack.

I hear ya, but all this is publicly available in google, and all open source advisories.....even on the SMF website it lists the vulnerabilities and fixes.

A little more reading and one realizes SMF forums appear to be very insecure. in the long run it may be better to upgrade socawarriors to a more robut CMS. my recommendation would be Postnuke.

ttgapers

it appears the forum is at version 1.0.5

it appears this version has some sql vulnerabilities that "Don Johnson" might be using to exploit the board. might the site admins update to the latest stable or RC version, it may mitigate the attacks.

i checked out smf, and stable release is 1.0.7, and RC is at 1.11 i beleve.

jus looking out for the security of the forum and it's users.

if it is a sql injection as i think, users PM boxes etc., might have been compromised.

Breds u make a powerful statement there about Ro.

Ro might have been an ass at times but he was committed to Fatima. and he was always there in the corner of any yute regardless of race who could rep. Fatima in sports.

There was one fellas who had the skills and brains but wouldn't study. Ro used to go up in Belmont and personally pick de man up at home and bring him to school.

To say Ro hold back black man. is a curious statement.

But he wasn't one o dem fellas looking to say "Black is beautiful." and cry down white ppl.

If Ro thought you were a lazy black man with no ambition, he called it like it was.

VB

needless to say this was in FormV, with Ro as dean.

but i digress... give him his credit where it is/was due, but he was not holier thanThou. he had a lot of favourites aka "the RO boys", who had keys to his office...and who could get away with murder in fatima. harry was a fair person and coach to deal with.

Quote
Zinedine Zidane has publicly apologised for his sending-off in the World Cup final, but claimed he did not regret his actions against Marco Materazzi.

Zidane, who was captaining his country in his final match before retirement, stated that Materazzi insulted his mother and sister in the seconds leading up to the incident, which saw the France midfielder thrust his head into the Italy defender's chest.

'I reacted badly and I would like to apologise for it,' Zidane told Canal Plus. 'I would like to apologise because a lot of children were watching the match. I do apologise but I don't regret my behaviour because regretting it would mean he was right to say what he said.

'There was no tension with Materazzi before or during the match.

'He just put his hand onto my shirt and I told him to stop. I told him that if he wanted it I could give it to him at the end of the match.

'Then he said very harsh words to me and repeated them several times. I left but then I went back towards him and things went very fast. The words he said concerned my mother and sister.

'I heard them once, then twice, and the third time I couldn't control myself. I am a man and some words are harder to hear than actions. I would have rather been knocked down than hear that.'

'Afterwards I explained to the referee that I had been provoked, but my behaviour is not forgivable,' Zidane said.

Without Zidane, who had earlier given France the lead with a penalty, extra-time finished with the score locked at 1-1, and Zidane's team lost the penalty shoot-out 5-3 to Italy.

Asked whether he plans to attend FIFA hearings into the incident, Zidane said that he would seek to defend himself.

'I will go and I will tell everything I have just said,' he added. 'The reaction is always punished but if there is no provocation there is no reaction. The guilty person is the one who provokes.

'If I reacted that way, it is because something bad happened. Do you really believe that 10 minutes before the end of my career I would be able to make such a bad gesture? The provocation was very serious.'

The incident was a sad way to end what has been a glittering career for Zidane, but he insisted he would not change his mind about retiring.

'This is a decision I have made and I will not go back on it,' he said. 'This is definite. I will not play again.'

Materazzi himself, who scored the equaliser for Italy on Sunday, made a statement of his own while Zidane was speaking on French television.

'I didn't mention anything about religion, politics or racism,' he said. 'I didn't insult his mother. I lost my mother when I was 15 years old and still get emotional when I talk about it.

'Naturally, I didn't know that his mother was in hospital but I wish her all the best.

'Zidane is my hero and I have always admired him a lot.'
